One of the greatest films of Indian Cinema, Hera Pheri (2000), will complete 25 years on March 31. The film has achieved cult status and its sequel, Phir Hera Pheri (2006) has gone miles ahead when it comes to memes. This film also has a separate fan base and hence, many were surprised by Paresh Rawal’s comments on the sequel. Paresh, who features in this series as the legendary Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, said, “Everybody was overconfident about the film. It lost its innocence. Sorry to say, but woh film nahi bani thi barabar. I would tell Neeraj (director Neeraj Vora), ‘Tu bhar raha hai ismein, woh zarori nahi hai yaar’.” Bollywood Hungama exclusively spoke to Firoz A.
