Crew completes one year; Kriti Sanon recalls the success of the film and says, "If the content is good, the genre doesn't matter"

Kriti Sanon has consistently taken on diverse roles, showcasing her versatility with every performance. From Mimi to Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya and Do Patti, she has explored various genres. Crew was no different - starring alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu, Kriti made a strong impact with her portrayal of Divya Rana.

As Crew completes one year, Kriti’s performance as Divya continues to be appreciated. A stylish, ambitious, and fearless air hostess, Divya was more than just her striking looks—she was sharp, driven, and full of attitude. Speaking about her character, Kriti shared, "I relate a lot to my character in the film, Divya, because she's nerdy, studious, a topper, a head girl, and I was all of those too. Sometimes she feels that she hasn't reached where she wanted to. I've also felt that way at some point in my life. So, she's a dreamer, and she's an achiever, and she's a go-getter. I think that's why I related to her."

Breaking stereotypes with Crew

Kriti also spoke about the film’s unique appeal, emphasizing how Crew broke stereotypes about women-led films. She said, “When a film like this, which is about three women from different generations and backgrounds, comes together in a comedy, people don’t expect it. They assume if it’s about women, it’s going to be about men-bashing or some form of woman empowerment. But no, it can be a simple story about three women. It doesn’t have to be ‘about women’—it could be men, and the story would remain the same. That’s the beauty of Crew.”

Kriti’s Upcoming Project

Looking ahead, Kriti Sanon is set to bring another compelling character to life in Tere Ishk Mein, directed by Anand L. Rai. Starring alongside Dhanush, the film promises to be a unique love story, and fans are eager to see Kriti in a brand-new avatar.
