Emraan Hashmi reflects on Excel Entertainment’s Ground Zero: “I was blown away by the script”

Excel Entertainment’s upcoming Ground Zero is a powerful tale of courage, pride, sacrifice, and patriotism. Hitting the big screens on April 25, 2025, the film promises an intense cinematic experience. The teaser drops this week and will also be attached to Sikandar. The film offers an intense narrative, which reportedly left Emraan Hashmi deeply impressed when he first read the script.

Emraan Hashmi reminisces about his reaction when he first saw the script of Ground Zero. He said, “I was blown away by the script. It's a chapter from the history of our national security and encapsulates the adage, truth is stranger than fiction. My first reaction was, ‘Did this really happen and if so, how is it that not too many people know about it?”

Inspired by an untold battle that remained hidden from the public eye, Ground Zero sheds light on the BSF’s best operation in the last 50 years, which was officially recognized and awarded in 2015.

Presented by Excel Entertainment and directed by Tejas Deoskar, Ground Zero comes from the producers of Lakshya and stars Emraan Hashmi in a pivotal role. The film releases in theatres on April 25, 2025.
