Ayushmann Khurrana welcomes Aneet Padda to MHCU with Shakti Shalini: “So proud to see someone from Punjab making us all proud”

After delivering yet another hit with Thamma, Ayushmann Khurrana is celebrating not just his own success but also the arrival of a fresh new face in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU). The actor took to Instagram to warmly welcome Gen Z star Aneet Padda, who joins the popular cinematic universe with the upcoming film Shakti Shalini.

The announcement of Shakti Shalini was revealed in the opening credits of Thamma, leaving fans intrigued about what’s next in Maddock’s ever-expanding horror-comedy world. Sharing his excitement, Ayushmann posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram Stories along with a clip of the film’s announcement. He wrote, “Welcome to the MHCU, @aneetpadda… Punjabi aa gaye oye!! From one dreamer to another – keep chasing what you want. Nothing is impossible… so proud to see someone from Punjab making us all proud. Can’t wait to see you shine in Shakti Shalini! Onwards and upwards, Aneet.” The post quickly went viral, earning love from fans across social media who praised Ayushmann’s humility and camaraderie with newcomers.

For the unversed, Shakti Shalini is the latest addition to Maddock Films’ highly successful horror-comedy universe, which began with Stree in 2018 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, followed by Varun Dhawan starrer Bhediya and Sharvari starrer Munjya. Each film has expanded the interconnected universe with new characters and quirky supernatural twists, blending humor with horror in a way that has redefined the genre in Indian cinema.

With Aneet Padda stepping into this universe, expectations are high for Shakti Shalini to carry forward the franchise’s unique legacy. Fans are eagerly waiting to see how her character fits into the larger MHCU storyline and what new spooky surprises Maddock Films has in store.

For now, Ayushmann’s heartfelt welcome has set the tone — it’s celebration time for both Punjab and Bollywood’s favorite horror-comedy universe!
