“It is special to unveil teaser 2 on this day”: Farhan Akhtar on 120 Bahadur’s tribute to Lata Mangeshkar

The team behind 120 Bahadur, the upcoming war drama from Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, is set to release a special second teaser on the birth anniversary of legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. The teaser will feature the iconic patriotic song “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon” as a tribute to the spirit of Indian soldiers.

The first teaser of 120 Bahadur received strong praise across social media and industry circles for its emotional depth, powerful visuals, and portrayal of wartime brotherhood. With the second teaser, the makers aim to pay homage to India’s brave soldiers, aligning the release with a day that holds national and emotional significance.

Lata Mangeshkar, often regarded as the voice of the nation, is remembered for her timeless contribution to Indian music. “Ae Mere Watan Ke Logon,” written by Kavi Pradeep and composed by C. Ramchandra, was first performed live in 1963 as a tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives in the 1962 India-China war. Over the decades, it has become one of India’s most emotional and enduring patriotic songs.

Speaking about the tribute, Farhan Akhtar shared, “It is special to unveil Teaser 2 of 120 Bahadur on this day. The song was written for the brave soldiers and martyrs of the 1962 India-China war and sung live by Lata ji. Her voice and Kavi Pradeep ji’s words continue to stir the soul of the nation even today. The message of our film is closely aligned with the emotion in those lyrics.”

Directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar (Excel Entertainment), and Amit Chandrra (Trigger Happy Studios), 120 Bahadur tells the story of the courageous Charlie Company and their spirit of unity, sacrifice, and patriotism. The film is releasing in cinemas on 21 November 2025.
