Karan Johar stunned by son Yash’s ‘nepo baby’ comment: “I don’t want to be launched”

Karan Johar often takes to his Instagram account to share updates about his films and personal life. On Saturday, the filmmaker posted a hilarious video of his son Yash on Instagram, in which Yash flaunted a ‘nepo baby’ shirt. Who gave Yash the shirt? Karan said that it was given by a female, who made him promise not to reveal her name.

In the clip, Karan pointed his phone camera toward Yash as he proudly displayed his blue T-shirt with the words, ‘Nepo baby’ written on it. Karan said, “Oh my god, do you know what this t-shirt says, that you are nepo baby?” In response, Yash quips, “Yeah, but I don’t want to be launched!” He then dashes off in typical toddler fashion, while Karan, in mock surprise, adds, “What! Who is launching you anyway?”

In the caption accompanying the post, Karan wrote: “He has a mind of his own. I am HAPPY!!! Ps..T shirts gifted to the twins by •••••• ( oops she made me promise I won’t tell).”

The video captures a light-hearted and endearing moment, showcasing Yash’s budding personality and early signs of independence. Despite playfully accepting his status as a “nepo baby,” the young starlet firmly expresses that he wants no part in a typical Bollywood industry "launch."

For context, Karan Johar welcomed twins Yash and Roohi via surrogacy in February 2017. He chose to name his son Yash after his late father, Yash Johar, while Roohi’s name is an anagram of his mother’s name, Hiroo.

This playful moment not only brought a smile to viewers but also reflected Karan Johar’s self-aware and humorous approach to the ongoing nepotism debate within Bollywood. Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case: AIIMS panel submits conclusive findings to the CBI

For over three months, the country has been waiting to find out the reason behind Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely death. The actor died by suicide on June 14 and his family along with his industry colleagues were keen on a CBI inquiry. However, after a simulation of his room in his Bandra apartment, the CBI sought help from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences’ Forensic Department. A team of four doctors led by Dr. Sudhir Gupta started looking into the late actor’s forensic and viscera reports. As per the reports, after a study of over 40 days, the panel of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has submitted its conclusive findings to the CBI.
