Kajol wears a Rs 39,500 Torani saree with digital chintz and heirloom grace

Draped in monochrome magic, Kajol recently turned heads in a striking saree from Torani’s Chhuttee collection. Styled by Radhika Mehra, the actor’s look blended timeless traditionalism with soft summer sensibility—an ode to the understated power of black and ivory.

A Summer Romance in Monochrome The saree, aptly named Kalamkari Aavya, is crafted in soft georgette—a fabric known for its airy fluidity and feminine fall. What sets this piece apart is its digital chintz print, reimagined in monochrome for a fresher, more global appeal. The delicate detailing of double-layered scalloped borders adds an ornamental charm without overwhelming the overall aesthetic. Retailing at Rs 39,500, this saree is a premium pick from Torani’s latest line, perfect for festive summer soirées or elegant daytime events. Styled Like a Work of Art Kajol’s styling elevated the saree to editorial heights. Radhika Mehra paired the drape with a heavily embroidered blouse, which played beautifully against the sheer georgette base. The sleeveless cut added just the right touch of modernity to an otherwise heritage-inspired outfit. The real showstopper, however, was the statement choker by Tribe Amrapali—an oversized antique-finish piece that doubled as wearable art.

With her hair loosely pinned in romantic curls and makeup kept soft and dewy, Kajol looked every bit the portrait Radhika described—“like a painting that belongs in a gallery.”

Captioning her post with “I’m based on a true story,” Kajol lent a deeper narrative to her ensemble. Perhaps it was a nod to her enduring elegance or to the craftsmanship of the piece itself.

Speaking of the professional front, Kajol was last seen in Maa, which was released on June 27.
