Chitrangda Singh opens up on surviving modern-day stardom; says, “It’s difficult to tell what’s working anymore”

In today’s fast-evolving film industry, actor Chitrangda Singh shares her thoughts on how the dynamics have shifted over time. Known for her subtle yet strong performances, the Parikrama actor reflects on the changing pace of the entertainment world.

“Today there’s so much noise out there. There’s so much happening constantly that it is quite tough to make a place for your-self in the industry. There’s more competition, no doubt, because it’s not just about the talent; there’s so much other stuff that’s also playing a part. It is difficult to tell what is working,” says Chitrangda in a recent interview.

From surprising audiences with her impeccable comic timing in Housefull 5 — a massive box office success that reaffirmed her flair for mainstream comedy — to delivering a deeply emotional performance in Parikrama, India’s first Indo-Italian co-production, she has consistently showcased her versatility as an actor.

Her ability to transition effortlessly between high-octane commercial entertainers and intimate, meaningful narratives underscores her commitment to both mass appeal and artistic depth, making her one of the most balanced performers of her generation.
