Power couple cricketer Virat Kohli and actress-producer Anushka Sharma recently embarked on a spiritual journey to Ayodhya, visiting the sacred Ram Mandir and Hanuman Garhi temples amid tight security. Several photos and videos of the couple offering prayers at the shrines have surfaced online, capturing their quiet reverence and spiritual involvement.

The couple, fondly known as ‘Virushka’, was seen participating in religious rituals, receiving blessings, and accepting mementos from temple authorities. One heartwarming moment that caught fans’ attention was a photo of the couple smiling as they received a framed image of Shri Hanuman Garhi during their visit.

Sanjay Das Ji Maharaj, the successor of Mahant Gyan Das of Hanuman Garhi and the national president of the Sankat Mochan Sena, spoke about the celebrity couple’s visit and praised their deep-rooted spiritual beliefs. He said, “Kohli & Anushka have a deep love for spirituality, culture, God and Sanatana Dharma. They visited Lord Ram Lalla & then took blessings from Lord Hanuman - They also discussed spirituality & mythological things here.”

This is not the first time the couple has embraced their spiritual side, as they are often seen reaffirming their ongoing devotion and interest in India’s cultural and religious heritage. Earlier this year, photos and videos from their visit to Vrindavan was among their many spiritual trips that caught attention of fans.

While Anushka Sharma has been keeping a low profile in the film industry, she has been active in brand endorsements. The actress, who embraced motherhood a few years ago, has not announced a return to films. Her much-talked-about biopic Chakda Xpress, based on cricketer Jhulan Goswami, is still awaiting release on Netflix, with no recent updates on its premiere. The actress along with husband Virat Kohli, who announced his retirement from Test cricket earlier this month, are reportedly in process of moving to London along with their children, Vamika and Akaai. According to reports, the couple is keen on ensuring a private upbringing for their children, away from the constant media spotlight in India.

Meanwhile, their recent spiritual outing has once again highlighted the couple’s commitment to tradition and faith, even as they navigate personal and professional transitions in life.
