Prerna Arora shudders after Saif Ali Khan incident; says, "If Saif Isn't safe who is?"

There is a sense of panic prevalent in Mumbai’s entertainment industry after the attack on Saif Ali Khan during the wee hours of January 16. Producer Prerna Arora, who lives alone with her staff, wonders about her safety. “If someone as high profile and supposedly safe as Saif and his family are unsafe, then what do we say about the safety of lesser mortals?”

The incident has shaken Prerna. “It is very, very scary. We don’t have the exact details. But the presence of an armed intruder in a fiercely well protected home raises many questions. What was the watchman doing? Where did this breach of security happen? Is there CCTV footage of all the visitors/intruders. I believe Kareena and the children were not at home during the incident. What if they were?”

As a single woman staying alone Prerna has her insecurities about the security. “There is that constant fear of being accosted attacked. You never know who is watching you. And how secure are we at home? How much could we trust the house helps? No matter how deep you probe into their background it is not enough. I think there should be serious probe into Saif’s maidservants past history.”
