Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor recently shared his thoughts on reviews and opinions of his films during an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama. The actor offered a glimpse into how he perceives feedback in today’s ever-critical environment.
Reviews don’t affect me “Main sab comments aur reviews padhta hoon,” Shahid revealed, emphasizing that he takes the time to go through feedback from different sources. However, the actor was quick to add that he doesn’t let negative criticism affect him. “Mujhe bilkul affect nahin hota, bilkul bhi nahin, 1% bhi affect nahin hota. Kya farak padta hai?”
Some reviews have appreciation Shahid highlighted the fine line between genuine and paid reviews. “Some reviews have regards and appreciation, which I love,” he shared with a smile. But he also pointed out a concerning trend, stating, “Some reviews are paid reviews, which is very common nowadays.”
Shahid Kapoor on critics Shahid elaborated on the essence of creating films for the audience, addressing critics directly. “Inko kya maloom hai? Picture toh humne banai hai audience ke liye. Beech mein tum kyun aa gaye? Reviews not just from reviewers but also from a colleague, co-actor, and from someone who is doing a different job matters,” he explained.
Every opinion matters Shahid concluded on a thoughtful note, expressing his belief in the unique connection between an actor and the audience. “Every opinion matters. Eventually, it is between you and the audience.” Through his honest and unfiltered words, Shahid Kapoor showcased his balanced approach towards criticism, highlighting the importance of staying true to one’s craft while respecting the diverse opinions that come with the territory.
