Amitabh Bachchan heaps praises on Abhishek Bachchan and I Want To Talk; reacts to ongoing divorce rumours saying, “Let them say what they say”

Amitabh Bachchan has come in support of his son Abhishek Bachchan amid ongoing rumours about the latter’s divorce with wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Meanwhile, the legendary actor-host has also showered heaps of praise on his son’s performance as well in his recently released film I Want To Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar. The veteran megastar penned a beautiful note showcasing his love as a father to his son along with also appreciation his work as a co-actor.

Amitabh Bachchan took to his blog on Sunday night to review I Want To Talk wherein he wrote, “Some films invite you to be entertained .. some films invite you to BE the film .. I WANT TO TALK .. just does that .. it invites you to BE the film  ..! It picks you up up gently from your seat in the Theatre and places you , equally gently , inside the screen it is being projected upon .. and you watch its life floating by  .. No effort or chance of wanting to escape from it into  ...ESCAPISM ..”, he wrote. Further talking about Abhishek’s performance he said, “Abhishek .. you are not Abhishek .. you are ARJUN SEN of the film ..”

Followed by that, he also reacted to the ongoing rumours about Junior Bachchan’s personal life as he recalled a few lines of his father Harivansh Rai Bachchan, who is renowned poet. He went on to share, “Kehne do unhe jo kehna hai. Humara to kehna yeh hai(Let them say what they say .. but this is what I say)” and added, “Achhe ne Achha aur Bure ne Bura jaana mujhe. Jiski Jitni zarurat thi, usne utna hi pehchaana mujhe (the good did think of me to be good ; the bad did think of me as bad  .. the need for whichever, was the need for them , did they recognise me with that)”.

The actor, on a philosophical note, observed how judgment of people often exposes their own needs rather than someone else’s needs. “THE ULTIMATE WHIP OF SARCASM !!!! and reality ..  you think of someone as good , because your need is for you to think so .. you think of someone as bad because your need for you is to think so ..  your need for the good and the bad was a calculated one , FOR that is how you much you gave value to my recognition !!!” he concluded calling it the ‘eternal truth of life’.

Coming to I Want To Talk, the film is inspired by the tale of Arjun Sen, who was only given a few days to live and how he decided to not give up and fight with hope and determination. The film, also starring Ahilyaa Bamroo, Jayant Kriplani, and others, released in theatres on November 22.
