Krushna Abhishek opens up on emotional reunion with Govinda after 7 years: “I’m glad we’ve finally buried the hatchet and moved on”

Bollywood actor Govinda and his nephew, comedian Krushna Abhishek, have finally reconciled after a long-standing feud. Following an injury that required hospitalization, Krushna visited Govinda's home for the first time in seven years. In a recent interview with E Times, Krushna mentioned that the family has “finally buried the hatchet and moved on.”

Earlier this month, Govinda accidentally misfired a gun, which led to his hospitalization. While Krushna’s wife, Kashmera Shah, visited him in the hospital, Krushna was unable to go as he was touring in Australia. However, he made it a point to visit Govinda as soon as he returned to India. Reflecting on their meeting, Krushna remarked, “It felt like I had completed half a vanvaas (exile).” He also described the emotional moment of reuniting with Govinda's daughter, Tina Ahuja, saying, “I just hugged her.”

Krushna reflected on his reunion with Govinda, Krushna said that they, “joked, laughed, and reminisced about old times.” Krushna reflected on his reunion with Govinda, saying they "joked, laughed, and reminisced about old times." He also fondly remembered living with Govinda and his family in the early days of his profession, and how their recent reunion brought back wonderful memories. However, Krushna noted that neither of them brought up previous issues. “Sab gile shikve door ho gaye hain (All grudges have been put aside),” he stated. Krushna also stated that he didn't meet Govinda's wife, Sunita Ahuja, since she was busy, and that he was “scared to face her.” He added, "I knew she would scold me."

The Great Indian Kapil Show actor expressed his desire to maintain a close relationship with his uncle, stating, “I’m glad we’ve finally buried the hatchet and moved on. Now I’ll keep visiting, and I’ll also meet mami (aunt).” Krushna confirmed that Govinda is recovering and can now move around the house with the help of crutches.

The tension between Krushna and Govinda had been fueled by Govinda's frustration over Krushna making jokes about his film characters on television. Additionally, Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, had distanced herself from Krushna and his family. However, the two were able to reconcile at Krushna’s sister Arti Singh’s wedding in April.
