Sharvari makes history as youngest actor to join star-studded YRF Spy Universe: “Shah Rukh sir, Salman sir and Hrithik sir and other so many big names is humbling, motivating…..”

After garnering attention with standout performances in Munjya, Maharaj, and Vedaa, Sharvari Wagh is now filming one of the most eagerly awaited projects, Alpha. Starring alongside Alia Bhatt, this high-budget action film is part of the YRF spy universe, where they will portray super-agents. Notably, Sharvari is the youngest actor to join this universe, which has previously featured major stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Katrina Kaif, and Deepika Padukone.

Excited about this achievement, Sharvari shared her thoughts in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha and said, “It’s a big pinch-me moment. It’s such a big universe! It’s an IP that has been loved in India and across the world. So, to be part of something that’s already so huge feels incredible. I’m super excited and truly grateful to be a part of it, firstly because the film stands for what it does and secondly, the fact that I get to work with Alia. That’s a big dream come true.”

However, Sharvari confesses that the overwhelming exhilaration is accompanied by some worry. And she's embracing every aspect of her experience. Sharvari stated, “To be the youngest actor to shoulder a project of a franchise that has earlier been shouldered by the biggest superstars like Shah Rukh sir, Salman sir and Hrithik sir and other so many big names is humbling, motivating and a little bit of nerve-wrecking too.”

This is also the first time she has shared screen space with Alia. They had their first proper interaction during Alpha's pre-production. Sharvari recalled her first conversation with the Jigra and Gangubai Kathiawadi actor. She said, “I’ve been in the same room as Alia before Alpha happened and we did greet each other. I was introduced to her but I never had an at-length conversation with her before the film. My first proper meeting with her was during one of the prep days at the studio where she had just finished her prep and I was going in for mine.”

This is also her debut appearance on screen alongside Alia. And Sharvari described how it's an enriching pleasure to see Alia perform in front of the camera, saying, “By now, she understands how much I admire her. I didn't need to inform her (laughs). She has taught me so much. There aren't just one or two things I can point to. Sitting on the sidelines and watching her work is like taking a master lesson in itself. I just watch her on set and learn everything I can.”

As previously reported, Sharvari auditioned for her role in Alpha before beginning Munjya's shoot. “Adi (Aditya Chopra; producer) sir wanted to audition me in the action space. So, I did an extensive action audition. I went to an action class and did two months of training. I didn’t know what the film was called,” she had said. During the pre-production of Alpha, they had a proper interaction for the first time. Looking back at her first chat with her, Sharvari said, “I’ve been in the same room as Alia before Alpha happened and we did greet each other. I was introduced to her but I never had an at-length conversation with her before the film. My first proper meeting with her was during one of the prep days at the studio where she had just finished her prep and I was going in for mine."
