Alia Bhatt called her father ‘crying and shaking’ after panic attack before Student of the Year debut: “Emraan Hashmi was there…”
Alia Bhatt recently opened up about her pre-debut jitters, revealing a particularly moment before her first day on the set of Student of the Year. In a candid interview with Karan Thapar for India Today, Bhatt shared that the anticipation of stepping into the limelight was overwhelming, leading to a full-blown panic attack. The pressure of living up to expectations, coupled with the unfamiliar territory of film sets, had taken a toll on her.
Describing the experience, Alia Bhatt said that ahead of her debut, she had a full-blown panic attack. She was crying and shaking when she picked up to make a phone call. “I thought he would hug me, there would be silence in the room, but I walked into a room with eight people. He made me stand up in front of everybody in the middle of the room and said ‘now talk about the way you are feeling’,” she recalled.
Recalling that day, she added, “He said just do it. I did it and actually that was the best thing that he could have asked for because automatically I felt normal. Because Emraan was over there… Emraan Hashmi and he said ‘Alia, you are going to feel this before every film, before every shot’.”
Alia Bhatt worked with father Mahesh Bhatt on Sadak 2.
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is currently hearing up for Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala. The film is scheduled for October 11 release. ALSO READ: Alia Bhatt names Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as her ultimate dance inspiration: “I'd be looking at all her songs just to catch the expressions”
