Huma Qureshi starrer Bayaan selected for Busan International Film Festival in Korea

Huma Qureshi has added another feather to her cap with the selection of her upcoming film Bayaan for the Asian Project Market at the 2024 Busan International Film Festival in Korea. The film is currently in production.

Bayaan is director by Bikas Ranjan Mishra and produced by Shiladitya Bora (Platoon One Films), Madhu Sharma (Summit Studios), Kunal Kumar, and Anshuman Singh. The project is backed by the Hubert Bals Fund and has developed at the LA Residency as part of Film Independent’s Global Media Makers program.

During the LA Residency, director Mishra collaborated with Craig Mazin (HBO’s Chernobyl) and received insights from writer Jeff Stockwell and story editor Ruth Atkinson. This mentorship has undoubtedly enriched the film's narrative and creative direction.

Bayaan blends a local story with universal themes, capturing cultural roots while addressing broader human experiences. The film maintains a balance between honoring its origins and appealing to a global audience.

The selection of Bayaan for the Busan International Film Festival provides a global platform for the project, offering opportunities to connect with industry leaders, potential partners, and a wider audience.
