Aamir Khan says he wants to ‘move away from films’; praises Rhea Chakraborty: “You have shown remarkable courage”

Rhea Chakraborty has unveiled the latest promo for her show Chapter 2, featuring Aamir Khan. In this intriguing teaser, the two stars delve into a range of topics, from stardom and films to therapy and coping with grief. Following her debut episode with Sushmita Sen, Aamir Khan marks the second high-profile guest on Rhea’s show.

The promo kicks off with Rhea complimenting Aamir on his looks, setting a light-hearted tone. The conversation then shifts as Aamir humbly compares himself to Bollywood's other heartthrobs—Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, and Shah Rukh Khan. “Hrithik is handsome, Salman is handsome, Shah Rukh is really handsome, but me…” Aamir trails off, only for Rhea to quickly interject, “You are also handsome. I think the whole country will agree with me for once.” Aamir, with his signature self-deprecating humour, responds, “People make fun of my fashion choices,” to which Rhea playfully adds, “I never said you are stylish.”

The promo takes a turn as Aamir becomes visibly emotional while reflecting on a deeply personal experience. “From there, my chapter 2 began…” he says. Aamir also commends Rhea for her resilience, saying, “You have shown remarkable courage, Rhea.” The two continue their conversation with Aamir opening up about his desire to step away from films, a statement that Rhea teasingly dismisses as “jhooth (lies).” She even jokes about arranging a lie detector test for the Lagaan star. Aamir further discusses the importance of therapy in his life and how it has helped him grow and learn.

Sharing the promo on her Instagram, Rhea expressed her excitement about hosting Aamir Khan. “I’m thrilled to welcome Aamir Khan, a true star and a genuine friend. Stay tuned for a deep dive into his experience with stardom, parenthood, grief, and more,” she wrote. The episode is set to stream on August 23.

Rhea Chakraborty, who was thrust into the spotlight following the tragic death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in 2020, has faced significant challenges in recent years. She was arrested and briefly jailed on drug-related charges linked to the case, leading her to step away from the public eye. After a period of reflection and recovery, Rhea has slowly been making her way back into the limelight.
