Wedding Filmer reveals Shah Rukh Khan edits ALL his films himself: “It's insane the amount of work he does”

Beyond his superstardom, Shah Rukh Khan is known for nurturing new talent in the Indian film industry. One such protégé is Vishal Punjabi, the founder of Wedding Filmer and a renowned celebrity wedding photographer.

Vishal Punjabi on Collaborating With SRK Vishal recently shared his experiences working alongside Shah Rukh Khan for over a decade. Their journey began with a heartfelt letter Vishal wrote to SRK from London, expressing his aspiration to work with the iconic actor. This gesture led to an invitation to design a website for a Bollywood portal, marking the beginning of Vishal's long association with Red Chillies Entertainment, Shah Rukh Khan's production company. Learning from the King of Bollywood Recalling his first meeting with Shah Rukh Khan, Vishal told DJ Simz, "He was a lot smaller than I expected, very enigmatic and charming." The collaboration proved to be a learning experience for Vishal. "He was a really good mentor," Vishal said, expressing his gratitude. "He guided me well and taught me everything about cinema. I worked for him for 10 years before starting my own company." Shah Rukh Khan: The Meticulous Editor Vishal also shed light on a lesser-known aspect of Shah Rukh Khan's filmmaking process: his meticulous approach to editing. "Shah Rukh is one of the best editors I have worked with," Vishal revealed. "He edits every single film he shoots and acts in. He sits with the editor and goes through every scene. It's insane the amount of work he does."

Speaking of the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan will be next seen in King directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film marks the much-anticipated big-screen debut of his daughter, Suhana Khan, in a lead role. Reportedly, Abhishek Bachchan has joined the cast as the antagonist.
