Tripti Dimri shares challenges of struggling with comedy role; says, “It was difficult but a valuable learning experience”

Following the success of her previous release, Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal, Triptii Dimri is definitely on a roll, having released two films in a row. Her most recent film is the upcoming romance comedy Bad Newz, which co-stars Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk. Bad Newz is the sequel to the 2019 success Good News, which starred Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. Bad Newz focuses on Triptii Dimri's pregnancy and the commotion around her child's father, creating the appearance of a love triangle.

Prior to this, the actress appeared in serious films such as Qala, Bulbul, and Animal. Triptii Dimri has spoken out about the difficulties she encountered after attempting her first humorous part. In an interview with IANS, the actress said that while humor was "a little difficult" at first, it was "really good" in the end.

She said, “I have always done a lot of films in the drama genre, but I feel that as an actor, it is really important to keep doing different things and keep challenging yourself. I have found comedy a little difficult since the beginning. But in a way, it was really good for me.”

Tripti also complimented her director, Anand Tiwari, for giving her the opportunity to explore a new genre. "It was more tough for me, particularly with Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk, because they are extremely gifted and have excellent comic timing. "It was difficult but a valuable learning experience," the actress added.

Triptii also stated she want to perform more diverse parts in action, drama, and comedy in the future.

Speaking about the film, Bad Newz is based on the unusual notion of heteropaternal superfecundation, in which Triptii's character is expecting a kid with two fathers. It will open in theaters on July 19 and is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
