Diljit Dosanjh opens up about first love amidst ongoing marriage rumours

Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh, known for his secretive nature regarding his personal life, recently shed light on his 'first love' during a podcast appearance. Despite the swirling rumours about his marriage, Diljit chose to focus on self-love. He shared in an interview with Raj Shamani, "I love myself bro. I love myself like crazy, main apne aap nu bahut pyaar karda. Toh mujhe lagta hai pehla pyaar toh main hi hoon mera. Mera pehla pyaar main hi hoon." He emphasized the importance of self-care and self-love, stating in Punjabi, "I believe in first loving yourself before loving others. Take care of yourself first. If you are not loved by yourself and taken care of first, how will you give that love to someone else?"

Marriage rumours and clarifications

Earlier this year, photos of Diljit with his s ‘wife’ circulated online, but it was later clarified that the images were of his co-star, Oshin Brar. Despite Diljit’s protective stance on his personal life, rumours persist that he is married and has a child. He has not confirmed these rumours, maintaining his private stance.

Ammy Virk's insight on Diljit's family

Adding to the speculation, fellow Punjabi artist Ammy Virk hinted at the reasons behind Diljit's secrecy regarding his family. In an interview with News18 Showsha, Ammy said, “If we look at Diljit Pajji’s point of view, it is his private matter. It is his family. There must be a reason that he isn’t introducing them to the world. I also have a wife and a daughter. Even I do not want them to come out in public. They also do not want it. For now, they can roam around anywhere, and nobody knows they are my Ammy’s family or Diljit’s family. If people know, they (families) will be troubled”.

Diljit's alleged marriage

In April 2024, a report by The Indian Express quoted a friend of Diljit’s who claimed that the singer-actor is indeed married to an Indian-American woman and has a son. According to the report, Diljit's wife and son reside in the United States. Despite this, Diljit has neither confirmed nor denied these claims, keeping his private life away from the public eye.
