Janhvi Kapoor reviews Laapataa Ladies; lauds every member of the team including filmmaker Kiran Rao
Janhvi Kapoor, who is gearing up for multiple releases this year ahead, recently seems to have caught up on the much-loved film Laapataa Ladies. The film, directed by Kiran Rao, has won hearts ever since its release of not just audiences but also several industry insiders who have even shared their reviews, thoughts, and opinions about the satirical entertainer set in the heartland of India on social media. Doing something similar was also the Kapoor girl, who decided to catch up on the Pratibha Ranta, Nitanshi Goel starrer recently.
Taking to her Instagram story, Janhvi Kapoor shared a photo of her television screen which featured one of the most emotional scenes from Laapataa Ladies featuring the two leading ladies. Along with that, the actress penned a note reviewing the performances of the actress as well as appreciating the work of filmmaker, as she wrote, “Pratibha Ranta your silent strength, Nitanshi Goel your innocence and heartwarming smile, Sparsh Srivastava your honesty and disarming humor!! Hats off to you guys and Kiran Rao mam for making such a beautiful work of art.” She also added, “Such a special movie and such special performances <3<3<3 heart is full”.
Laapataa Ladies marks the return of Kiran Rao as a director after Dhobi Ghat in 2010. The film is co-produced by her ex-husband and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who decided to make this film after he came across a Biplab Goswami novel titled Two Brides. Also starring Ravi Kishan, Chhaya Kadam, Geeta Agarwal, among others, the film also featured at film festivals where it received a great response for its unique take on women empowerment.
On the other hand, speaking of Janhvi Kapoor, the actress is currently gearing up for the release of Mr. and Mrs. Mahi co-starring Rajkummar Rao. She also has the political thriller Ulajh with Gulshan Devaiah, Devara: Part 1 with Jr. NTR and Saif Ali Khan, as well as the untitled RC16 with Ram Charan in the pipeline.
