Chris Pratt gives warm welcome to Varun Sharma as the voice of Garfield in India

Summer Time Madness is just a few days away, as The Garfield Movie hits the big screen starting this Friday, releasing one week in advance in India. Eagerly awaiting this family entertainer, it seems that Chris Pratt, the English voice of Garfield, has passed the baton to Varun Sharma to voice Garfield in India!

The makers recently announced Varun Sharma as the Hindi voice for Garfield. Now, they've shared an interesting video where Chris Pratt is seen introducing Varun Sharma as the voice of Garfield!

This time around Garfield, the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.

Speaking about lending his voice to Garfield in Hindi, earlier, Varun Sharma shared, “For me, lending my voice for The Garfield Movie has been a character I have followed since my childhood, and I resonate with his quirks. The entire dubbing process was an amazing experience, allowing me to relive all the best of my childhood memories. I am thankful to Sony Pictures Releasing International for this opportunity. I am eagerly waiting for the audience to have an absolute blast watching the film."

Sony Pictures Entertainment India releases The Garfield Movie exclusively in cinemas on May 17, 2024 in English, Hindi, and Tamil, as well as in 3D.
