Bade Miyan Chote Miyan trailer launch: Prithviraj Sukumaran opens up on Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s RISKY stunts: “It’s a MIRACLE that they are alive and well today”
The much-awaited trailer of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan was finally unveiled today at a multiplex in Mumbai by the film’s principal cast, director Ali Abbas Zafar and producer Jackky Bhagnani, Honey Bhagnani and Himanshu Mehra. The event was entertaining from the very beginning, especially the mutual respect shown by Akshay Kumar and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
Akshay Kumar began by saying, “It’s been a lot of fun working with Prithviraj. I learnt a lot about acting from him.” Prithviraj was embarrassed and shook his head, refusing to accept it. Akshay, in his trademark style, raised laughs as he stated, “Prithvi, come on. Take a compliment! You’re really good!” Prithviraj, however, remained adamant saying, “Not this one from you!” At this, Akshay Kumar replied, “Come on. I may have done more films than you but you are a much better actor!”
Prithviraj Sukumaran then took the mic and he stated, “It’s been a while since I have been a part of Hindi cinema. I couldn’t be happier than to make a comeback to Bollywood with this film. Akshay sir is giving compliments way too easily. The privilege is entirely mine.”
He continued, “Ali Abbas Zafar is one hell of a filmmaker. He’s unbelievably talented. I am a part-time director myself and am completely jealous of this guy!”
He then opined, “I am deeply grateful that Ali thought that I should be the one pulling off this character. I could not have done this without him and also without Akshay sir and Tiger. When you see the film, you’ll realize that it’s incredible what these two guys have pulled off. To be putting these superstars through such risky stunts, part of me believes that it’s a miracle that they are alive and well today!”
Prithviraj Sukumaran also praised producers, Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani saying, “Hats off to Vashu ji and Jackky for their conviction to pull off something at this scale and this canvas. It is by no means an easy film to make. We are here today because the producers believed in the vision that the director told them.”
