Manoj Bajpayee CONFESSES his six-pack abs pic was “photoshopped and not real”

On the eve of the New Year 2024, acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee stirred a social media storm with a shirtless photo showcasing a seemingly chiselled physique, while cleverly promoting his latest venture, Killer Soup. However, recently, Bajpayee revealed that the viral six-pack abs were a result of digital manipulation, shedding light on the true story behind the eye-catching image.

The photo, shared on Instagram with the caption, "New Year New Me! Dekho delicious soup ka meri body pe asar. Ekdum killer look hai na?" went viral, prompting admiration and praise for the National Award-winning actor's apparent fitness transformation. But as it turns out, it was all a well-executed marketing strategy by the OTT platform Netflix, on which Killer Soup premiered.

Laughing off the virtual hullabaloo, Bajpayee told IndiaToday, "It was their decision, a marketing strategy, to start the campaign for Killer Soup. It was photoshopped and not real. That's not my body. It's impossible to do something like that." The versatile actor further added, "Even if I want, I cannot have such a body as I do all kinds of films. Those six-packs would not suit many of my characters."

Speaking of Killer Soup, the much-anticipated show dropped last week, receiving rave reviews. Co-starring Konkona Sen Sharma, the show is directed by Abhishek Chaubey. He will next be seen in the Discovery+ show, Secrets of The Buddha Relics, as a host. Created by Neeraj Pandey, the documentary has been directed by Raghav Jairath.
