EXCLUSIVE: AP Dhillon says he was denied stay at a hotel on his first night in Canada as he didn’t own a credit card, a brown girl helped him: “There are good people out there”

In his new docu-series AP Dhillon: First of a Kind, he gives a glimpse of his journey from being an aspiring musician to becoming a renowned global music sensation. The singer along with his collaborator Shinda Kahlon, sat down for a chat with Bollywood Hungama to discuss his docu-series and more.
During the conversation, Dhillon recalled a time when he was denied a stay at a hotel on his first night in Canada because he didn’t own a credit card. He revealed how a brown girl helped her during that time. He said, “I had two suitcases. I put them on the ground and tried to sleep on them. There was this brown girl, she came to me and said, ‘Yo, you don’t look like a homeless person? Why are you sleeping like this?' I told her the story. Then she went to her boyfriend or fiance I don't remember, and said, ‘Yo, give this guy your credit card.’ And I remember that guy telling me, ‘Bro, please don’t steal anything, break anything' (smiles).”
He continued, "There are good people out there. At the end of the episode, I thought if we don't bring each other up, then who will?”
