The Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1 that released a while back has been doing brisk business at the box office. In fact the Hindi dubbed version of the film has fast emerged as the dark horse at the box office. After opening to a good start, the film which received positive reviews from the critics wowed the audience. Interestingly, Pushpa which released across 1401 screens in its first week saw an increase in screens in week 2 to 1500 screens. Now going into its third week, the film again sees an increase in screen count. As per reports, in week 3, Pushpa will screen across 1600 screens! This increase in screens in the third week is being attributed to the high demand for the film among the audience and the fact that the Shahid Kapoor starrer Jersey which was slated to release on December 31 has since been postponed. Given the sudden open slot, theatre owners and exhibitors have decided on capitalizing on the chance with a higher screen count for Pushpa: The Rise .

Actor Ranvir Shorey recently shared that his 10-year-old son Haroon tested positive for COVID-19. Post that, the actor shared a couple of follow-up tweets and revealed that they were hounded out of their hotel room in which they were quarantined. He said that it happened after he tweeted about his son's diagnosis. Earlier this week, in a tweet Ranvir shared that his son had tested positive during a routine test for their flight back to Mumbai from Goa. Actress Shilpa Shetty recreated the iconic helicopter scene from Shah Rukh Khan's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (K3G). Shilpa Shetty took to Instagram Reels on Thursday to share a video clip upon her return to Mumbai from a vacation in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Shilpa Shetty was seen stepping out of a black chopper in slow motion in the footage. It's identical to how Shah Rukh Khan did in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham when he jumped from his black chopper. Shilpa began running and then briskly walked as the video came to a close, with the K3G theme music playing in the background. Shilpa too sported a black ensemble similar to Shah Rukh Khan’s in the film. Shilpa captioned the video she shared, "That feeling of coming back home… unmatched! The rise of the Omnicron variant of the novel coronavirus has made headlines. In Bollywood too, many celebrities are testing positive for Covid-19. It all started when actresses Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Arora tested positive for Covid-19 after attending a party at filmmaker Karan Johar's residence in Mumbai. Now, 90's popular actress Shilpa Shirodkar who is known for films like Hum, Khuda Gawah and Aankhen has also tested positive for the deadly virus. On Thursday, the actress shared the news through an Instagram post and revealed that she had tested positive four days ago. Taking to Instagram, Shilpa shared a graphical pictorial in which there were two options negative and positive written in front of Coronavirus (Covid-19) and hers was ticked on positive. Sharing the post, Shilpa in the caption wrote, "COVID POSITIVE !!! #day4 Stay safe everyone, please get vaccinated and follow all the rules… your Government knows what is best for you. Lots of love".
