10 years of ABCD 2: Prabhudeva says, "I'm open to doing ABCD 3 with Remo D'Souza"

On June 19, Prabhudeva’s dance film ABCD 2 co-starring Varun Dhawan turned 10 years old. On the occasion, the reticent dancer-choreographer-actor-director revealed a third part of the dance franchise is on the anvil. “I really enjoyed surrendering myself to my fellow-choreographer Remo D’Souza. He directed me through the film. All the choreography was done by others. I just had to act and dance,” said Prabhudeva. So which one does he enjoy more? “You mean acting or dancing? To be honest, dancing is also a form of acting. So, I don’t see them as separate. But I don’t enjoy choreographing my own dances. This is why I enjoyed ABCD so much.” This is why the ABCD franchise means so much to Prabhu. “With ABCD and ABCD 2, Remo D’Souza has given birth to a new genre of entertainment in Indian cinema,” he said. I could’ve directed a dance film in Hindi. But I’m glad I didn’t. I don’t think I’d have been able to do it a...

Unfortunately, the actor went into depression and has been missing for years. On his 76th birthday, Bhatt spoke about Raj Kiran and the tragedy of his life. Bhatt Saab, was Raj Kiran a casualty of depression? Depression is not merely the absence of light; it is the crushing weight of darkness, where every breath feels like a battle against an unseen tide. I felt this truth viscerally when I met Raj Kiran in the psychiatric ward of Masina Hospital, Byculla, Mumbai. I had woken up that morning with an unnameable heaviness in my chest—a whisper of dread, the kind that cannot be explained, only obeyed. Something in me stirred with unease, and without thinking, I got into my car and drove to Masina Hospital. What prompted you to do this? I had heard that Raj had been admitted there, and though the world had already begun to forget him, I...
